The Society was founded in 1944. We provide high quality affordable housing and work to strengthen communities in the rural areas and market towns in the south west region.

We own and currently manage 458 homes for rent and 48 homes for shared ownership in the counties of Somerset, Devon, Dorset, South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

We are a Registered Social Landlord (RSL) managing and developing affordable homes in the South West.

As well as being registered with the Tenant Services Authority we have charitable status and we are members of the National Housing Federation.

To manage and maintain our housing stock, delivering efficiency and value for money and providing viable and sustainable housing, manage our assets and investments and the organisation to support our aspirations

To develop new affordable and sustainable homes and increase the housing stock

To invest in communities where we have housing or are developing housing.
